Boy did we stumble upon a fantastic service. We have tried several free and paid online backup services and this company beats them all hands down! The software install was easy and within minutes our files were being downloaded. They have great integration with Windows Explorer so choosing folders to backup is easy. The software automatically backs up documents, photos, videos and more, but it’s nice to add folders of your choice to the backup routine.

As I write this I am in the process of recovering some eMule P2P files. I started eMule and checked to see what was downloading and to my surprise “nothing!”.  I fired up Recuva and all my files are now being restored. Once again Recuva has saved my butt. To download Recuva click here.

We have been using Hide My Ass for over a year now.  It works flawlessly. We don’t get the download speeds using P2P networks like you do using no proxy, but we are getting speeds in the 1500k range!  When using eMule we don’t have to configure anything and we get a high ID.

We also use HMA Pro to watch foreign television. If you want to use the BBC player and watch your favorite shows from the UK then HMA Pro is what you need.  Our streaming video is fast and very tolerable. Just the other day we wanted to watch the Canadian program Doc Zone Shock Wave, but we received a notice when trying to play the stream that we  were trying to access the program outside of Canada. No problem, we fired up HMA Pro, selected a Canadian proxy server, and watched the program. The price for HMA Pro is very reasonable.
